Guernsey Community Foundation - Grants

We work with different types of donors distributing funds on their behalf to specific causes or, through our grants programme, to the areas of greatest need.

GCF Grants Programme

Our main Grants Programme provides substantial grants to local voluntary organisations so that significant challenges or needs within the Bailiwick can be addressed.

Applications should address a proven area of concern, a significant challenge or fill a ‘gap’ in provision within the Bailiwick; or should seek to improve the way a voluntary organisation operates or delivers its services so that it can better meet the needs of the community or its beneficiaries.

John Ramplin Charitable Trust Grants

The Guernsey Community Foundation is managing the administration of the grants process of the John Ramplin Charitable Trust, which was formed in 2016.

The aim of the Trust is to donate to Guernsey registered charities to enhance the health and wellbeing of a wide section of the Bailiwick community. The majority of grants will be directed towards charities that assist low income families, children, older people, people affected by disability or ill-health, community projects and medical research.

Decisions on funding applications are made by the John Ramplin Charitable Trustees.

Pargiter Trust Funding

We act on behalf of the Pargiter Trust to distribute funds to charitable and voluntary organisations working with disadvantaged older people in the Bailiwick. Areas supported are:

Improving health and well being - reducing isolation, providing hot meals and refreshments and helping older people to stay active through sports, arts, recreation, social clubs and volunteering;

Improving access to facilities, advice and training - supporting projects providing respite for carers, supporting Good Neighbourhood and befriending schemes and improving access to information and IT for older people, particularly where this involves intergenerational work;

Overcoming problems - helping older people who are experiencing difficult circumstances due to an illness, injury, disability, bereavement or financial difficulty.
